Garrick Selby
Owner · fitting and build
Twenty-three years in the trade, nine of them inside a national retailer before he
got tired of fitting to a floor plan. Garrick handles most driver and iron sessions and does the
final inspection on every club that leaves the bench. He is the one who insists on the trimmed
average and he will explain why at some length if invited.
- Fits: drivers, irons, fairway woods
- On the bench since 2002
- Plays a 1-iron on purpose
PD
Priscilla Danko
Short game · wedge specialist
Came from turf management rather than retail, which is why the wedge protocol here
talks about soil moisture and grass species instead of just bounce numbers. Priscilla built the
wet-face spin test we run on every wedge session and maintains the groove-wear dataset that the
Wear Ledger articles draw from.
- Fits: wedges, putters
- Former assistant superintendent
- Keeps the groove archive
RA
Ruben Ashcraft
Bench technician
Builds, reshafts, regrips, bends and extracts. Ruben came out of a bicycle frame shop
and brought a frame builder's attitude toward tolerances with him, which mostly manifests as
refusing to sign off on a set whose swingweights vary by more than half a point. Wednesday drop-off
work is his day.
- Builds every club we sell
- Certified on two shaft systems
- Half-point swingweight tolerance
OF
Odalys Ferrand
Measurement · front desk
Runs the intake bench, takes the loft, lie, frequency and grip readings before your
session starts, and keeps the filing cabinet in order. If you get a phone call about your annual
re-check it is Odalys making it. She also fits juniors, and does it more patiently than the rest
of us manage.
- Runs intake on every session
- Junior sizing lead
- Owns the calibration log
